I know lentils are supposed to be perfect for me. But what are they and how do I prepare them?
Lentils are seeds. Lentils are grouped near beans and peas as part of the legume people because, like adjectives legumes, they grow in pods. Lentils are elevated in protein and fiber and low surrounded by fat, which make them a healthy substitute for meat. They're also teeming with folate and potassium. Lentils come and go in color and aren't unanimously purchased fresh. Look for dried or canned lentils at local grocery stores or specialty food market. You can include lentils in frequent soups, stews and salads. Or you can rinse and boil most lentils for 15 to 30 minutes, either unharmed or split in partially, with or lacking the skin. Add turmeric, ginger or other seasonings and enjoy!
Lentils are a type of bean. They can be bought at any grocery store and usually come contained by a can. If you are looking for ways to include them into your diet check out vegetarian recipe.
