It is "chronic lateral displacement" and you are stuck with it. A lot of athletes hold it, and the only nouns is a brace or surgery. I opted out of surgery because you could cessation up with a fused ankle that no longer bends. I own found that the hard plastic style that cups both ankles connected by a strap at the bottom provides the greatest relief and support. Doesn't look too obedient with the" little black dress", but can't enjoy it all.
I've get weak ankles myself,.. and i find long distance and when its cold they play up alot,.. i use ankle brace and it seem to help. its merely extra support. just try not to rely on the to much,... i use too and i infer it made them worse
You need to see your doc to be sure in attendance is no permanent injury that later ask for a referral to PT for some ankle strenghtening exercises. PT can also tell you if a brace will assist your particular ankle problem.
