I enjoy an infection on my toe from hiking but my dr say to come within until that time giving antibiotics. Any cures?

It hurts like crazy but I do not want to remuneration a $20 copay for him to look at it for one second then prescribe some antibiotics. Any and adjectives suggestions are welcome.I enjoy an infection on my toe from hiking but my dr say to come within until that time giving antibiotics. Any cures?
The doctor wants to see the infection to find out if there is any gunk inside the wound, and to also digit out what kind of infection you could own. There are lots of antibiotic-resistent infections out there (do a survey on MRSA), and some could cause serious problems save taken care of.
My co-worker almost lost his arm when he get a cut on it at work, let it fester (because, close to you, he didn't want to spring a measly $20 for the copay), and ended up surrounded by the emergency room with a blood infection when the infection ate down into his blood system. He almost died, and even though insurance remunerated for most of his hospital stay, he still was on the hook for the 20%, as in good health as having to spend a few weeks recovering at home as ably as having to repay for extra meds.
Yeah, this is a scare tactic, but it's also a possibility. Just achieve the toe checked out.
If it is hurting so bad, mortal seen by a physician would be the best route to move about. Letting it fester may cause further complications surrounded by the future that would be MUCH more expensive than the cost you are looking at presently.
Also, the antbiotic that would most likely be prescribed is drastically cheap.
Maybe try soaking it in as hot hose down as you can stand with a touch bit of softsoap in the dampen. I wouldn't pick at it. Again, if it becomes beyond the pale, you should see a doctor. An office call round is a lot cheaper than have to go to the ER bring it hurts so bad.
