I own be have sharp pains right below my belly button on and bad for nearly a year immediately. What's cause it?

I have be having sharp pains right below my belly button on and sour for about a year presently. What's causing it?
My mom and dad hold told me it could be a hernia,
but I want to know for sure.

It could be early signs of appendicitis the dull pain starts at the belly button region and to the lower stomach. Surgery is required to remove the appendix and recovery could hold 6-7 weeks. Go get checked by a doctor to be sure.
